Cargo insurance is not included in freight quotations unless it has been requested and confirmed in writing.

Is my shipment insured automatically?
No. Cargo insurance is optional and must be requested. Without it, any compensation for loss or damage is normally limited to the carrier's liability, which may be well below the value of your goods.
What do you need to provide a quotation?
A description of the goods, their commercial value, how they are packed and the route of the shipment. A copy of the commercial invoice is helpful.
